at 911 am edt, doppler radar indicated strong Thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots, small hail, and lightning. These Thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of essex village to near moriches bay to 16 nm east of buoy 44025, moving east at 45 knots.

mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

A cold front moves trough the waters and stalls south of the area overnight before a low pressure approaches the area from the west on Thursday. The low lingers over the area through Friday night. A series of lows move through the vicinity of the region this weekend. High pressure builds offshore for early next week before another low potentially moves in for the middle of next week.
